IMD issued alert! Heavy rains will occur in these 15 districts in the next 24 hours

These days, the effect of weather systems formed in different parts of the state is being seen. Due to the continuous flow of moisture, light to moderate rainfall was recorded in many districts. On Friday, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm, Betul received the maximum rainfall of 34 mm. Ratlam recorded 28 mm, Chhindwara 24 mm, Pachmarhi and Sidhi 3 mm each, Sheopur 2 mm and Naugaon 1 mm. It is clear from these figures that the effect of rain is still continuing in the state.

In which districts will it rain today?

According to meteorologists, scattered rainfall is expected in Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, and Indore divisions on Saturday. In addition, light drizzle accompanied by thunderstorms is possible in the remaining areas. This means the weather will remain variable for the time being, with scattered rain expected in different areas.

Cyclone conditions

According to the Meteorological Department, an upper air cyclonic circulation is currently active over northwestern Uttar Pradesh and surrounding areas. Additionally, an upper air cyclonic circulation is also present over southern Marathwada. An east-west trough extends from northwestern Uttar Pradesh to Bangladesh, passing through Bihar and West Bengal. All of these systems are also impacting the weather in central India.

In which districts is there a possibility of rain?

According to the Meteorological Center, rain is expected in 24 districts of the state today. These include Bhopal, Raisen, Rajgarh, Sehore, Vidisha, Harda, Narmadapuram, Betul, Indore, Dhar, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Barwani, Khargone, Burhanpur, Khandwa, Jabalpur, Katni, Narsinghpur, Seoni, Chhindwara, Balaghat, Mandla, and Dindori. Light to moderate rainfall is expected in these districts.

Trough effect

Experts have reported that a north-south trough currently extends from southern Uttar Pradesh through Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, and Marathwada. This trough is causing rainfall in various areas of the state. According to meteorologist Ajay Shukla, there is currently no active system in the Bay of Bengal, but a trough passing through Madhya Pradesh is causing sporadic rainfall.

When will it rain next?

The Meteorological Department predicts that the possibility of rain will persist on Saturday in the districts of Bhopal, Narmadapuram, Jabalpur, and Indore divisions. Other areas may experience light showers accompanied by thunderstorms. However, there are indications of an upper air cyclone forming in the Bay of Bengal. If this system activates, it is likely to bring significant rainfall to the districts of Jabalpur, Shahdol, and Rewa divisions over the next two days. This could once again completely change the weather.
