There is a possibility of heavy snowfall in the Himalayan areas. On Sunday too, there was heavy snowfall in Ganderbal, Jammu and Kashmir, due to which the Srinagar-Leh highway was closed. The Meteorological Department says that on Monday, light to moderate rain may occur at isolated places in Western Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Chandigarh, Haryana and Punjab. Similar weather may prevail in eastern Uttar Pradesh from 20 to 22 February. Apart from this, there is a possibility of rain in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan on February 19. At many places, wind can blow at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour. Hailstorm may also occur in North Rajasthan, Western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana and Punjab. Apart from this, rain is also expected in many areas of Bihar, Meghalaya and West Bengal.
Heavy snowfall forecast
The Meteorological Department says that there may be heavy snowfall in Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and Uttarakhand, Himachal for the next four days. Snowfall has started from Saturday night itself which may continue till 22 February. There may be snowfall in Jammu division of Uttarakhand from Monday.
