Weather Forecast Updates: Some areas of Gujarat and Rajasthan facing severe heat may get some relief in the next 2 days. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), it may rain in some areas of Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat in the next 2 days.


Along with this, strong winds are also expected to blow. However, this respite from the heat will be for a very short time. Because the Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of a significant rise in temperature in many parts of Rajasthan and Gujarat in the second fortnight of March.

New Delhi. Due to the effect of a Western Disturbance, there is a possibility of light to moderate rainfall and snowfall in Jammu-Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan-Muzaffarabad and Himachal Pradesh till March 4. Light rain is expected in Uttarakhand and Punjab till March 4. After this, there is a possibility of dry weather in the area. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), there is a possibility of strong winds (speed of 20-30 kmph) in Uttar Pradesh on March 3 and 4. Whereas during March 4 to 6, there is a possibility of light rain in North Maharashtra, South Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat.

According to IMD, there is a possibility of light to moderate rain with thunder at different places in West Madhya Pradesh on March 4 and 5. While it may rain in East Madhya Pradesh on 5 and 6 March and in Vidarbha on 6 March. Squally weather (wind speed reaching 40-45 kmph gusting to 55 kmph) very likely over Comorin area on 4th and 5th March. In the last 24 hours, rain and thundershowers occurred at many places in Jammu, Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan and Muzaffarabad. Thunderstorm was observed at different places of Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim.

However, IMD says that there is a possibility of change in weather in Rajasthan and Gujarat during March 4 to 6. During this, strong wind can blow here and light rain is expected with thunder. These seasonal change activities can be limited to some areas only. Due to rain and storm, there is no hope of getting any special relief from the heat in these states. The maximum temperature of most parts of South Rajasthan and Gujarat will remain above normal between 36 and 38 degrees.

There may be no heat wave conditions in these states in the first fortnight of March, but there is a possibility of heat wave conditions at different places in the second fortnight of the month.
