It also said that rains would continue over the southern regions of the peninsula for the next two days. The Meteorological Department has issued a red orange alert of heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal including Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh.

The low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal has turned into a deep depression. Apart from this, the effect of the coming low pressure of Jammu and Kashmir is being seen. Director of IMD said that the deep pressure has moved north-west and is presently over Jharkhand. It will eventually weaken. Due to which many states have started due to the low pressure area, apart from West Bengal, an alert of heavy rain has also been issued in Jharkhand, Orissa, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh. The water level of many rivers has increased due to the rain since Friday, while heavy rain has been forecast in many areas of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand. Talking about India, the effect of monsoon will be seen in central India including the northwestern southern state.

The Meteorological Department has issued a red orange alert of heavy rain in 20 states today. Including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana, the rains will continue. A place will also be seen in Delhi, Punjab, Haryana. Heavy rain alert has been issued in 40 districts of Uttar Pradesh.

Apart from this, alert has been declared in many districts of Madhya Pradesh. Torrential rain has been predicted in many districts of Chhattisgarh. Andaman and Nicobar Islands are likely to experience widespread moderate to light rain with some isolated heavy rain, thunder and lightning till August 22. On August 22 and 23, 2022, there is a good chance of scattered rain, moderate to light rain, thunder and lightning over Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura.
