IMD Alert: Thunderstorm warnings including heavy rain have been issued in Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Odisha, East Uttar Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Rayalaseema and Interior Karnataka.


Apart from this, thundershower is expected over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, West Uttar Pradesh, East Rajasthan, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal, Kerala and Mahe .

IMD Alert, Today Weather Update: Intermittent rains in North India for the last 1 week will continue for the next 7 days. In some areas, a warning of hail has also been issued along with rain. Although the weather will be clear in the plains today. It will be partly cloudy. The temperature will rise while light rain has been warned in North East Rajasthan and South West Haryana.

Another Western Disturbance has formed in the form of a cyclonic circulation over Iran and its neighbourhood. Another cyclonic circulation extended up to 0.9 km above mean sea level over Southwest Rajasthan & neighborhood. In addition, a line is extending from interior Tamil Nadu via south Chhattisgarh to interior Karnataka, Telangana and Vidarbha.

Four Weather Systems Active

Due to the active weather system, fresh rain and thunderstorm activity will start over Northwest India from the evening of March 23. Along with this, a warning of hailstorm including scattered rain has been issued in Himachal, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, West Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan till March 27. Apart from this, a warning of heavy rain has been issued at one or two places in Himachal, Uttarakhand and Punjab till March 26.

Thunderstorm accompanied with hail and strong wind forecast in Northeast India

In the same northeast India, there is a forecast of hailstorm and strong wind accompanied by thunder and lightning. In the next 48 hours, many areas of India will see a period of rain including heavy thunderstorms.

Due to fresh Western Disturbance, Ladakh, Jammu Kashmir and Gilgit Baltistan will see light rain and snowfall. However, after late night, rain and snowfall will increase. In Himachal, Uttarakhand has also issued a warning of lightning instead of heavy rain. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in the foothill areas.

Delhi: strong cold wind will blow

Heavy rains in Punjab and Chandigarh as well

Here in Punjab and Chandigarh also tomorrow the weather will be clear, cold and partly cloudy. The effect of clouds will start after evening. Due to which there will be an increase in hailstorm and rain with thunder in Punjab. Along with this, rain has been warned in Chandigarh as well. Madhya Pradesh, Bundelkhand, Purvanchal and Bihar will remain lightly outside the influence of this system. But between 23rd to 25th, there will be a possibility of light rain or drizzle in these areas.

Effect of Western Disturbance in Gujarat, possibility of hailstorm with heavy rain
Here in Gujarat, the full effect of Western Disturbance will be seen. Light to moderate rain will occur at many places in all the districts of Kutch and Saurashtra. There is a possibility of hailstorm with heavy rain at some places. Tomorrow will be partly cloudy in North Gujarat, South Gujarat and Central Gujarat. Scattered light rain and thundershower activities will be seen in many areas after noon.

Rain possible in some parts of Haryana

Tomorrow in Haryana and Delhi too, the weather will be almost clear, cool, the movement of clouds will continue. Due to Western Disturbance, rain clouds may form in West Haryana from afternoon onwards, due to which there is a possibility of light rain or drizzle. Rain activities will increase over Haryana from late evening or early morning tomorrow, however rains starting from western parts of Haryana will reach eastern parts including Delhi.

UP: Denial of rain, weather will remain cool

In Uttar Pradesh also the weather will be almost cold tomorrow. There is no possibility of rain in the state tomorrow. However, there may be seasonal changes at isolated places in Mathura, Agra, Firozabad and Jhansi districts. However, there will be scope for drizzle-light rain in these districts tomorrow.

Heavy rain in these areas of Rajasthan

Strong Western Disturbance is starting to take effect, due to which light to moderate rain followed by strong winds will enter Rajasthan from Pakistan side. Rain is expected in East Rajasthan. Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Bikaner, Churu, Jhunjhunu, Alwar, Sikar, Nagaur, Jaisalmer, Barmer in Rajasthan may receive light rain or drizzle with 2 thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon.
