Honorarium Hike: The state government has once again given a big gift to Anganwadi workers and assistants. The Chief Minister has made a big announcement on Monday. In which it has been said that the honorarium of Anganwadi workers will be increased from Rs 7000 to Rs 9000, while the honorarium of assistants will be increased from Rs 4000 to Rs 4500.
Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has also given this information by sharing a post on the social media platform. Nitish Kumar wrote that the role of Anganwadi workers and assistants is important for improving the nutrition and living standards of children and pregnant women in the state. Respecting their role, we have decided to increase their honorarium.
How much will the honorarium increase
Anganwadi workers will now be paid Rs 9000 instead of Rs 7000 while Anganwadi assistants will be paid Rs 4500 instead of Rs 4000. The Chief Minister has also said in the post that since the formation of the government in November 2005, a lot of work has been done to improve the nutrition and health of pregnant women and children.
For this, six types of services are provided through the Integrated Child Development Project. The benefits of which are made available to the beneficiaries from Anganwadi Centre. Anganwadi workers and assistants play a major role in providing these services to the beneficiaries.
In such a situation, the government is also committed towards their development. Nitish Kumar said that honorarium has been increased in view of the important contribution of the workers and assistants. This will increase their morale. Also, ICDS services will be started more effectively.
