Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Yojana: To reduce the financial burden on economically weaker families after the birth of a daughter, the government is implementing several schemes. Financial assistance through government schemes after the birth of a daughter is being provided to prevent female foeticide and improve the sex ratio. The Haryana government is also implementing a similar scheme, the “Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Yojana,” which provides financial assistance of ₹21,000.

The Haryana government launched the Aapki Beti Hamari Beti Yojana in 2015. This scheme is administered by the Ministry of Women and Child Development. Under this scheme, financial assistance of ₹21,000 is provided after the birth of a girl child. The aim of this scheme is to prevent female foeticide, increase girl child education, and improve the sex ratio.

The “Aapki Beti Hamari Beti” scheme is available to girls born in Scheduled Caste and BPL families. Families from any category are also eligible for a second daughter. This amount of Rs. 21,000 is invested in the LIC in the name of the daughter. This amount is invested in the name of daughters from economically disadvantaged families. This amount can be withdrawn after the girl child turns 18.

5,000 rupees are given every year for five years.

At the birth of the first daughter, an investment of 21,000 rupees is made in LIC, and upon the birth of the second daughter, the government provides 5,000 rupees every year for five years. This amount is given for the daughters’ education, so that families do not have to worry about education and they can get a good education.

These documents will be required

A daughter’s birth certificate is required for the “Aapki Beti Hamari Beti” scheme. Additionally, a residence certificate, vaccination card, BPL ration card, income certificate, caste certificate, and parent’s Aadhaar number are required.

How to apply online:

1. First, visit the official website www.wcdhry.gov.in.

2. Now, click on the “Schemes for Children” option.

3. Click on the “Aapki Beti Hamari Beti” scheme link.

4. After clicking the link, a form related to the scheme will appear, download it.

5. After entering all the correct information in this form, submit it to your nearest Anganwadi center.

Drums will now be played at the birth of a daughter.

Now, in every home where a daughter is born, members of the Mangalmukhi (Kinnar) community will present a certificate of 21,000 rupees to be invested in LIC under the “Aapki Beti Hamari Beti” scheme to the head of the family where the daughter is born. In return, the Haryana government will provide a gift of 1,100 rupees to the members of the Mangalmukhi community.
