How to open your account in post office

If you have not yet got your Aadhar card made and want to open an account in the post office, then you can apply for Passport, Driving License, Voter ID card, State Government Officials. You can open the account by taking the MNREGA job card with the signature of K and the National Population Register letter in which your name and address are present.

Investing more than Rs 10 lakh..


If you are investing more than Rs 10 lakh in the post office, then the source paper of the fund will also have to be given. If senior citizens are VRS, then retirement benefit papers will have to be given. Keep in mind, according to the official website, if you are an NRI, trust or film-institution or company, then you cannot open an account in the post office. If you want to take the facility of ebanking / mobile banking on the basis of your account, then you have to fill the relevant form.
