Good News! PF money transferred to your account in 1 hour instead of 3 days, know the complete process

In view of the Corona crisis, the Central Government has reduced the time to transfer (DBT) to your bank account for withdrawing money from the Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF) for medical emergency. Let us know how to apply for withdrawal of funds during a medical emergency.


Keeping in mind the sudden need of money during the corona virus epidemic, the central government has started a new service regarding Provident Fund. Under this, you can now withdraw Rs 1 lakh in advance from your Employee Provident Fund (EPF). You can withdraw this money during any kind of medical emergency. At the same time, after applying for advance money, the time for transfer (DBT) to the bank account has also been reduced. For this, the government has made some important changes in the rules.

No need to bill

Employees’ Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) has informed that the facility of withdrawing medical advance up to Rs. 1 lakh to the employees has been started. Money can be withdrawn from PF on hospitalization in emergency during any illness other than corona virus. Earlier also you could withdraw money from EPF at the time of medical emergency, but it was available after depositing the medical bill. At the same time, the new Medical Advance Service is different from the earlier system. You do not have to pay any bills in this. All you have to do is apply and instead of 3 days, now the money will be transferred to your account within just 1 hour.




How to withdraw pf money

  • For this you have to first visit the epfindia.gov.in website.
  • On the home page of the website, click on Online Advance Claim in the top right corner.
  • After this go to unifiedportalmem.epfindia.gov.in/memberinterface.
  • Go to Online Services. After this fill the claim form-31,19,10C and 10D.
  • Enter the last 4 digits of your bank account and verify.
  • Click on Proceed for Online Claim.




  • Select PF Advance from the drop down.
  • Select the reason for withdrawing money. Enter the amount and upload the scanned copy of the cheque. Then enter your address.
  • Click on Get Aadhaar OTP and enter the OTP received on Aadhaar linked mobile.
  • With this your claim will be filed. PF claim money will come in your account in one hour.
