You can also apply online to apply for passport. For this you have to apply on the website of India Post. After this, you will have to submit the passport making fee and a form. After this process, you will get a date. On that day you will go for the nearest post office verification along with the necessary documents.

  • High school mark sheet
  • Voter id
  • Pan Card
  • Aadhar Card
  • Driving license
  • Ration card
  • An affidavit made from a notary

Time taken for document verification

After submitting all the documents from your side, then they will be verified at the post office. If everything goes well then the process will proceed. During this, the fingerprint and retina of the applicant will be scanned. After document verification, the entire process will take 15 days. After this you will get the passport.
