PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana: PM Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana has been started by the Prime Minister of the country, Shri Narendra Modi, for all those citizens who are associated with the unorganized sector. 



This scheme is very beneficial for the workers of the unorganized sector. Through the scheme, pension facility will be provided to the low-income citizens after retirement. So far more than 45 lakh people have been included in this scheme according to the labor ministry . Citizens whose age will be between 18 years to 40 years will be able to apply for the scheme and get benefits.

After which, after completion of 60 years , as pension to the citizen for the whole life, 3000 rupees i.e. 36 thousand rupees annually .amount will be given. A special thing under the Jan Dhan Yojana is that Jan Dhan account holders can also be entitled to pension in this.

These citizens will get benefits

Such citizens of the unorganized sector of the country who will be daily wage laborers, maids, drivers, electricians and sweepers and other workers will be provided the benefit of this scheme. Monthly income of all these labor citizens should not exceed 15000 . Under the scheme, the citizen will get lifelong pension after 60 years so that he will be able to live his life well and he will not have to take any support in old age.

Who is not eligible for the scheme

Citizens who are members of EPFO ​​(Employee Provident Fund Organisation), NPS (National Pension Scheme), ESIC (Employee State Insurance Corporation) or citizens who pay Income Tax (Income Tax) will not be eligible for this scheme.

How much will have to be invested under the scheme



According to the scheme, if the age of any citizen is 18 years, then the citizen will have to deposit an amount of 55 rupees per month till the age of 60 years. If someone is 29 years old then he has to deposit 100 rupees till the age of 60 years and if a citizen is 40 years old then he has to deposit 200 rupees every month. Let us tell you that as much as the contribution belongs to the account holder, the same contribution will be made by the government.

Documents required to take advantage of PM Shram Yogi Maandhan

To register in the scheme, the citizen must have his Aadhar card, registered mobile number and savings account. If you have Jan Dhan account then you can join the scheme. You do not have to open a separate savings account for this.

Register like this

  • The applicant has to go to the Jan Seva Kendra to register for the Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maandhan Yojana.
  • You have to go there and give information about Aadhar card, Saving account, IFSC code etc. to the agent.
  • If the applicant wishes, he can also register a nominee.
  • After entering all the information in the form, you will get the information of Monthly Contribution.
  • After this, you will have to pay the contribution in the form of cash in the beginning.
  • After which your account will be opened and you will get Shram Yogi Card.

Some rules of planning

If a citizen is not able to make his contribution due to any reason, then he will have to deposit the outstanding amount with interest later. After which their contribution will start running. If any user wants to withdraw money within 10 years from the date of joining the scheme, then only their contribution will be given at the savings account interest rate.
