Indigo, the airline company providing cheap flight services, is giving a special discount to air travelers who have got the corona vaccine. In fact, IndiGo has launched a ‘Vaxi Fare’ scheme, which can be availed by the vaccinated passengers traveling in the airline and based in India.
IndiGo passengers will get this discount on the base fare of the flight ticket. In a statement, the airline company said that IndiGo has launched the ‘Vaxy Fare’ scheme, under which if someone has got their vaccination done, then they will get a discount of up to 10 percent in the fare on every route.
To avail this scheme, passengers traveling in IndiGo will have to carry their vaccination certificate issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and get their vaccination on the Aarogya Setu mobile app at the check-in counter/boarding gate of the airport. The status has to be shown.
IndiGo said that failing to do so could result in denial of boarding. According to the airline, this vaccination exemption is applicable for travel dates more than 15 days from the date of booking. Indigo said that the offer will be valid only when the passenger books the ticket on IndiGo’s website.
According to the information given on the website of the airline company, only those passengers who have taken at least the first dose of the corona vaccine will get the benefit of the Vaxi Fare scheme. However, this offer is not applicable on IndiGo’s group bookings.
