There will be very little work in banks in February. Banks will remain closed for 13 days due to government holidays and employees’ strike. Banks will not work for 4 days from 23 to 27 February due to holiday and strike.

New Delhi. This month, that is, after today in February, there will be no work in public and private banks for 13 days. According to the list of holidays released by the Reserve Bank of India, 12 days in February will be closed due to bank holidays. At the same time, in February, trade unions have announced a strike for two days.

In February, out of the total 12 days of bank holidays (Bank Holidays in February), 4 holidays are on Sundays. Many of these holidays are also going to fall continuously. According to the holiday list given on the official website of RBI, these holidays are in different states. All these holidays will not be applicable in all the states simultaneously. At the same time, according to the guidelines of RBI, banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of the month apart from Sundays.

Due to the closure of the bank, those customers are most affected, who have to go to the bank themselves and get the work done. However, online banking services will continue to run on weekends as well, which brings relief to the customers. NEFT and other online channels also work on holidays due to the new rules implemented by RBI recently.

2 day bank strike

Bank employees have also announced a strike on 23 February and 24 February. Other organizations including Central Trade Unions (CTU) and All India Bank Employees Association (AIBEA) have jointly announced a bank strike, which will involve all government and private banks across the country. If there is a strike, because of this, there will be no work for 4 days from 23 to 27 February. This will happen because, if the organizations go on strike on 23rd and 24th February, then in February, from 23rd to 27th ie 4 days out of 5 days, the work in the banks will be stalled. There will be no work in the bank due to strike on 23 and 24 and on 26-27 February being the fourth Saturday and Sunday respectively.
