Police officers in Germany on Wednesday carried out raids against extremists suspected of trying to overthrow the government. Twenty-five people, including a 71-year-old German nobleman, have been detained in Germany, including a retired military commander and former lawmaker for the far-right Alternative für Deutschland (AfD). According to a media report, federal prosecutors informed that about 3,000 officers raided 130 locations in 11 of Germany’s 16 states.

Federal prosecutors denied this
