Final year examinations to be held in universities by end of September: Ministry of Human Resource Development

The Ministry of Human Resources Development said that the Universities can conduct the final year examinations postponed due to the outbreak of Covid-19 (online, offline or both).

new Delhi. The Ministry of Home Affairs on Monday allowed universities and other educational institutions to conduct examinations in the current ‘Unlock-2’ phase. The ministry said in a statement that it has sent a letter to the Union Higher Education Secretary to allow universities and institutes to conduct examinations. “According to the guidelines of the academic calendar of UGC and Universities regarding examinations and as per standard operating procedure approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare Examinations must be conducted compulsorily. ”



Lockdown was implemented in the country from March 25 to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. Various examinations conducted by universities and other educational institutions of the country were being deferred since March. During the unlock stages in the country many activities have been allowed in all the areas except the Containment Zones, but regular operation of schools, colleges, universities and other academic institutions has not started.

Examination can be conducted by all means
The Ministry of Human Resource Development said that universities can conduct the final year examinations postponed due to the outbreak of Covid-19 (online, offline or both). It was said by the Ministry that students who could not take the final year examinations will get another chance, the university will conduct special examinations when appropriate.
