new Delhi. Delhi University has released the admission policy of the university for the academic year 2022-23. Vice-Chancellor Yogesh Singh said that the merit will be decided on the basis of the marks of Common University Entrance Test (CUET 2022). “Candidates will be able to appear in CUET only in those subjects which they have taken in class XII. The merit will also be assessed on the basis of only those subjects in which the candidate has appeared in the CUET examination.
Vice Chancellor Yogesh Singh said that except the School of Open Learning and National Collegiate Women’s Education Board, admission to undergraduate programs will be done through CUET 2022 only. The VC said, “It is mandatory for all candidates seeking admission to additional seats to appear in CUET 2022. The eligibility criteria will be decided on the basis of marks obtained in CUET.” Candidates can appear for CUET in a maximum of six subjects, including Should be one language subject.
According to University Dean Pravesh Hanit Gandhi, there will be three sections in CUET 2022, the first section will have two parts. There are 13 languages in the first part of CUET and 20 languages in the second part. Gandhi said, “It is mandatory for candidates to appear in at least one language for admission to Delhi University.” The second section of the entrance exam consists of 27 domain-specific subjects. The third section is based on general knowledge which will be for admission in BA program only.
