From now on, you will be able to renew your driving license even while you are abroad This big step has been taken by the government keeping in mind the Indians who were stuck abroad during the Corona period This will benefit Indians whose International Driving License Permits are about to expire.
The Center is going to amend the Motor Vehicle Rules 1989. A draft notification has been issued by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways to amend the rules.

According to the draft notification, citizens of India whose International Driving License Permit is about to expire. You can apply online on the portal of Indian Embassy This application will be submitted on VAHAN platform From here the application will be sent to RTO
Under the current rules for an international DL permit, a medical certificate and valid visa details are required. Those who have a valid driving license do not need to give a medical certificate
