Finance Ministry gave information

The Finance Ministry has given this information. According to the ministry, ‘Under this order, the benefit of adhoc bonus will also be available to the eligible employees of central paramilitary forces and armed forces. Apart from this, those employees of Union Territories will also get this benefit who follow the pattern of emoluments of the Central Government and are not covered under any other bonus.

Calculation of bonus amount

Let us tell you that the benefit of adhoc bonus will be available only to those employees who were in service on 31-3-2021 and have rendered at least six months continuous service during the year 2020-21. These employees will be paid proportionately for the period of continuous service from six months to one year during a year.

Know the complete calculation here

The amount of Adhoc Bonus will be calculated on the basis of the average ceiling of Emoluments for its calculation, whichever is lower. For example, if you want to calculate adhoc bonus for a day, then the average emoluments in a year will be divided by 30.4 (average number of days in a month). Thereafter, it will be multiplied by the number of days the bonus is awarded.

Understand with example- Monthly Emoluments for Rs.7000 (where actual average Emoluments is more than Rs.7000) can be calculated like this.

That is, 30 days monthly bonus: 7000×30/30.4 = Rs 6907.89 will be Rs.

Who will be eligible to take the bonus

If casual labour, who has worked in offices under 6 days week for 3 years or more for at least 240 days every year, (in case of offices working 5 days a week for 3 years or more, 206 days every year) they will also be eligible for this non-PLB payment. The amount of adhoc bonus for these will be – 1200×30/30.4 = Rs 1184.21.

In cases where Actual Emoluments is less than Rs. 1200 per month, the amount will be calculated on the basis of Actual Monthly Emoluments.
