In the country’s capital Delhi, people will now be able to travel by standing in buses and metro. On the proposal of Delhi Government, Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) has given permission with conditions. 30 passengers in each metro coach and 50 per cent of the seat capacity in buses will travel standing. This decision of DDMA is taken in public interest. This will help in decongesting the vehicles on the roads. Along with this, common people will get relief in commuting somewhere.

It is worth noting that these days the problem of air pollution in Delhi-NCR remains serious. The air quality in the capital was in the very poor category on Saturday as well. One of the major causes of air pollution is smoke from vehicles. Due to corona infection, the number of passengers in buses and metro has been limited, due to which people are compelled to leave with private vehicles. Due to this there has been an increase in the number of vehicles on the roads. Keeping this in mind, the Delhi government had recently demanded permission from DDMA to travel standing in buses and metro.

Let us inform that the ruling Aam Aadmi Party government in Delhi has decided to introduce one thousand private buses on the roads of Delhi to reduce the crowd of private vehicles. Its process has been started. It is expected that this will make traveling in public transport easier.

Along with the efforts of the government, the general public will also have to fulfill their responsibility. They should travel in public transport instead of private vehicle. Car pooling is also an option for those traveling in a private vehicle. Together some people can go to the office in one vehicle. This step of the people will help in cleaning the air of Delhi. We should keep in mind that everyone has to work together to solve the problem of pollution. The responsibility of standing passengers has also increased. They have to strictly follow the rules of prevention from Corona. Any kind of carelessness can be costly.

At the same time, the Metro will not run on the Yellow Line from Rajiv Chowk to Central Secretariat from Sunday morning due to technical reasons. This problem will remain for the whole day, Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has already informed the people about it.
