The expectations of the state’s employees, who are getting 14 percent less dearness allowance than the Center and other states, did not come true from the cabinet meeting to be held on Monday.

Virendra Dubey, Provincial President of Chhattisgarh School Teachers Association said that exemption in promotion is welcome but after calculating old service, give promotion/time scale to all.

Virendra Dubey, Provincial President of Chhattisgarh School Teachers Association said that every employee of the state and their family members are facing financial loss ranging from Rs 4000 to 10000 per month due to falling behind in 14 percent DA. On one hand the political parties are blaming each other on the issue of inflation, while they are doing injustice by depriving their employees of the dearness allowance which is their right, not even any gift. Soon the pending DA should be given with arrears.

State general secretary Dharmesh Sharma and state media in-charge Jitendra Sharma told that all the employees have been disappointed due to non-announcement of DA. On the other hand, a large number of assistant teachers and teachers will be benefited by removing the limit of 5 years in promotion to 3 years, but due to not counting their old service, they are going to suffer big losses, if the old service period is counted. Everyone deprived of promotion would get the benefit of promotion/time scale, so promotion/time scale should also be provided along with promotion. Not only this, there is a mention of assistant teacher, teacher in the relaxation decision of 3 years in promotion, but the lecturer is not mentioned in error, which is said to be rectified in the order.
