The phone number is also given in this SMS, on which it has been said to get the bill updated by contacting.

When a person contacts on the given number, fraudsters start manipulating him. They ask the consumer to share the bank account details on the pretext of verifying the electricity bill payment. Apart from this, they also try to install remote access applications like AnyDesk, Team Viewer.

Come in and clear the account

Police say that those who come in the talk of these thugs share their bank details or any other important information with them, then these thugs withdraw money from that person’s bank account with his help. Apart from this, the person who downloads an app on his phone at the behest of these thugs, then these thugs hack the phone and take money from the bank account.

Do not give any information

Appealing to beware of cyber thugs, Haryana Police said that do not give any information related to electricity bill to any SMS or caller. Do not download any app on your phone or click on any link at the behest of any unknown person. If any person falls victim to this type of fraud, then he should immediately inform the police about it.
