Coronavirus menace: India cancels e-visa for Chinese pilgrims

The World Health Organization has declared a global health emergency, with 305 people dead in China alone due to the widespread Novell Corona virus.



Taking precautionary measures very seriously, India has abolished the e-visa facilities offered to Chinese tourists.

“The possibility of traveling to India on e-visas has been temporarily cancelled due to current developments. This applies to Chinese passportholders and citizens of other countries residing in the People’s Republic of China. The cancellation will be applicable from now on even those who have already obtained e-visas,” the Embassy of India in Beijing said.

India has already launched health checkups for tourists from China and Hong Kong and the search has been extended to Tourists from Singapore and Thailand. The corona virus has already attacked 15,000 people, and a person has died in china as well as in the Philippines.



In India, two persons from Kerala have found positive in the Novel corona virus test.

Delhi, which has already taken 654 people to the country to safely bring the trapped Indians in the sick Chinese Wuhan, has already brought 654 people home by 747 jumbo jets from Air India. These returning people are kept in intensive checkpoints (quarantine) for two weeks.
