Coronavirus In India: AIIMS Director Dr. Randeep Guleria said that due to increasing number of corona cases, test reports are also delayed.

Coronavirus In India: Amidst the rising rate of Coronavirus In India in the country, Dr. Randeep Guleria, Director of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) has said that caution should be taken even if the report in RTPCR investigation is negative and symptoms are present needed. Let me tell you that the new strain of Corona is also dodging the test-RTPCR fixed for Kovid. The number of false negatives is increasing. In many cases, it is happening that even after having symptoms, reports of people are coming negative.

On this, member of Kovid-19 Task Force and AIIMS Director Dr. Guleria said that even after the investigation is negative, people who have symptoms of Kovid should be treated under protocol. He said that this strain of Kovid is very contagious. If someone comes in contact with an infected person even for 1 minute, then he is also getting infected. Do Doctor’s Clinic-Radiological Diagnosis-AIIMS Director

AIIMS director said that due to increasing number of corona cases, test reports are also delayed. In such cases, the doctor should do clinico-radiological diagnosis. If the CT scan shows signs of corona then treatment should be started under the Kovid protocol. Significantly, the symptoms of Kovid include loss of taste and smell, fatigue, fever and chills, acidity or gas difficulty, sore throat.

Why is the number of false negatives increasing? At the same time, experts believe that the RT PCR probe is being misapplied many times by swabbing. It is believed that the wrong way of taking swab, inadequate storage of swab, incorrect number of samples, the number of false negatives is increasing.

Along with this, experts say that the RT-PCR report may also be inaccurate due to the muted virus. It is believed that the immunity of the body is not able to recognize the double mutant virus. Due to which the infection is spreading rapidly and there is a possibility that the muted virus is not getting caught in the investigation of RTPCR.
