Biometric information is not uploaded in the Aadhaar card of children below 5 years of age . Aadhar card is being used everywhere in modern times. Without this, many government schemes cannot be availed.

On the other hand, if you do not like the photo of your child’s Aadhar card or the photo of your Aadhar card and want to update it, then it can be changed in some easy way. This facility is provided by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). As per UIDAI, the issuer of Aadhaar, a photograph is mandatory while applying for the Aadhaar card. Therefore, to change the photo, you have to visit the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center.

According to UIDAI, the issuing body of Aadhaar, biometric updates such as photo and fingerprint cannot be changed online. You can update the photo in Aadhar card by following the steps mentioned here. In this way you can update photo in Aadhar card from child to elderly person.


What to do to update photo
First of all visit the nearest Aadhar Enrollment Center after downloading the update form from UIDAI website, you can also get the form from CSC center.
Now fill the form, submit it and enter the biometric details.
Your live picture will be clicked, there will also be a fee of Rs 100 to update the details.
After this an acknowledgment slip containing the Update Request Number (URN) will be generated. It may take up to 90 days for the request to be processed.
After the photo is updated, you can download digital aadhar from the website of aadhar card.

Please note that before going to the Aadhaar Enrollment Center for photo update, you can also book an appointment online. The center remains open from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm (IST) on all seven days of the week. These services are available to any resident of India across the country. A resident can book a maximum of 4 appointments in a month.
