CBSE Term 2 Exam: 10th, 12th board exams will be offline, SC dismisses petition

The Supreme Court dismissed dozens of petitions refusing to make the board exams of class 10th and 12th online across the country. A 3-member bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar reprimanded the petitioner in the matter.



New Delhi: The Supreme Court has dismissed dozens of petitions refusing to conduct online class 10th and 12th board examinations across the country. A 3-member bench of Justice AM Khanwilkar reprimanded the petitioner in the matter and said that they will again impose cost on such premature petitions.

The Supreme Court expressed displeasure
over these petitions and said that at present lakhs of children of the country are preparing for the examinations. In such a situation, no uncertainty should be created in these children. The Supreme Court has also directed the examination conducting institutions to conduct the examinations on time.

It is worth noting that students from 5 states had filed a petition demanding cancellation of offline examinations conducted by CBSE, State Boards, ICSE. It was said in the petition that due to Omicron in the country, online or other options should be adopted at present. Board exams of class 10th and 12th are to be held in April across the country.

Examinations will start in April The
student, in his petition, had sought to adopt the method of evaluation in class 10th, 12th board examination 2022 instead of conducting offline examinations due to Kovid. It was said in the petition that almost all board examinations including CBSE, ICSE across the country are going to start from April 2022.

Term 1 exam was held in December 2021
