The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the schedule for registration of Children With Special Needs (CWSN) for 10th and 12th board examinations 2026.
The aim of this initiative is to ensure that such students, who need additional support, can avail the necessary facilities during the examination and appear for the examination without any hindrance.
CBSE has given clear instructions to all the affiliated schools across the country to register such students studying there on the Pariksha Sangam portal within the stipulated time limit. Along with registration, the schools will also be responsible for uploading the correct documents and medical certificate.
When will the registration take place?
CBSE has also specifically announced the registration dates. The process will start from 9 September 2025 (Tuesday) and will run till 22 September 2025 (Monday) at 11:59 pm. In this stipulated time, all schools will have to ensure that they complete the registration of eligible students, so that they can get all the necessary facilities on time at the time of examination.
Schools will have to follow these steps
- Marking of students as CWSN – Eligible students have to be marked in the list of candidates during registration.
- Uploading necessary documents – It will be necessary to upload the medical certificate or disability certificate on the online portal.
- Choosing Exam Facilities – The exam facilities offered must be selected according to each student’s need and situation.
- Following SOP – It is important to strictly follow the standard operating procedures given by CBSE.
What will be the benefit to the students?
As soon as the registration is completed, the facilities chosen for CWSN students will be recorded directly on their admit card. The advantage of this will be that the examination centers will be ready in advance and students will be able to get extra time, separate seating arrangements, writer (assistant writer) facility or other special arrangements immediately.
