Bihar Assembly Election: So is the Lalu era ending in RJD? What are the signs of disappearance from hoardings and posters?

Party Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav is not seen in many recent RJD hoardings regarding Bihar assembly elections.

Bihar Assembly Election 2020: Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav had once said- As long as there will be potatoes in samosas, then Lalu will remain in Bihar. In his style, underlining his relevance in the politics of Bihar, Lalu’s words are now getting old. The question is arising that the potato in Samosas is same as before, but before the politics of Bihar, has the RJD started to call for the end of the Lalu Era? RJD is leading only Tejaswi Yadav in the upcoming assembly elections. The party to which Lalu grew up by watering and palming, has disappeared from his hoardings-pastors. In such a situation, the question is whether Tejashwi Yadav wants to get rid of his father Lalu Yadav’s image.

Tejashwi got shocked by Lalu style politics in Lok Sabha elections

During the last Lok Sabha election, Tejashwi Yadav projected himself as a competent leader of Bihar. Till a few months before the election, he kept calling the RJD a party of all sections of the society, but right before the election, he started on the path of Lalu, opposing the Upper Caste Reservation. Tejashwi also spoke about giving participation to extremely backward classes, backward classes, Dalits and Muslims in the elections, but bypassed the upper castes. Further election results gave a big blow to this stunning formula. One reason for the defeat was also attributed to Lalu Style Politics in Lalu Style.

Focusing on the upper caste community, correcting the mistake

It is said that after this, Tejashwi Yadav corrected the Savarna fraternity. Jagdanand Singh was made the state president of the party. Efforts were made not to impose caste politics on Tejashwi. This was a major step away from the politics of Lalu’s support of the Muslim-Yadav equation.

Tejaswi’s helplessness to withdraw from M.Y.’s politics

In fact, Lalu’s move to move away from the politics of Muslim-Yadav alliance (MY Equation) was also a compulsion of Tejashwi. In his vote bank, Nitish Kumar’s Janata Dal United, (JDU), Asaduddin Owaisi’s AIMIM and several smaller parties have made a dent in the local base. Due to this division of votes, it has now become necessary for all sections of the society to face Tejashwi.

RJD tells Bihar’s future by keeping Tejaswi’s face in front

Talking about election hoardings and posters, the fight becomes Nitish vs Lalu as soon as Lalu Prasad Yadav comes face to face. In such a situation, it becomes easy for the power side to refer Lalu-Rabri Raj to Jungle Raj. Now only by keeping the face of Tejashwi Yadav in front, RJD is telling him the future of Bihar. With this strategy of following forward thinking, the stains of Lalu-Rabri’s 15-year round are also left behind.

Party running on Lalu’s ideology on Tejashwi leader

However, the attacker Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is calling it a personal ambition, with only the image of Tejaswi on the posters. At the same time, Mrityunjay Tiwari of RJD says that his picture is being kept in front of the commander. The party is running on the ideology of Lalu Prasad Yadav. Congress spokesperson Rajesh Rathore says that the issue is not the disappearance of big leaders from RJD posters, the issue is Nitish Kumar’s 15-year rule in which crime increased when agriculture and industry were destroyed.

Leaders disappearing from hoardings before being marginalized

One more thing to note is that all the big leaders first disappeared from hoardings and posters, then slowly went to the margins of politics. Examples like George Fernandes in JDU and LK Advani and Murali Manohar Joshi are in the BJP. The party refuses, but the question is whether the same history is being repeated in RJD with Lalu Prasad Yadav?
