In such a situation, it is believed that if the trend of increasing crude oil prices in the international market continues, then it will have an effect on oil prices. In such a situation, the prices of petrol and diesel may increase in the coming days.

If the price of crude oil and gas in the international market increases, then cooking gas will also be expensive. With this, the government can also completely eliminate the LPG subsidy. A senior ministry official said the subsidy could be given only to the beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. At the same time, in the internal survey of the government, it has been accepted that consumers can buy a cylinder of one thousand rupees.





The ministry has not yet taken any final decision on this. But soon the government can take a decision in this regard. After January 1 this year, the price of LPG cylinder in the capital Delhi has increased by Rs 190.50. Whereas in the last year the price has more than doubled. At present, consumers are getting the benefit of subsidy on LPG cylinders in select states of the country. These include Ladakh, Lakshadweep, Andaman and Nicobar, North East states and backward regions of some states. During the financial year 2021 on subsidy, the government has spent Rs 3559 under DBT.
