If media reports are to be believed, then the government will do one time settlement of DA (Dearness Allowance) of the employees, that is, about 18 months arrears (18 Months DA Arrear) will be transferred simultaneously in the account of central employees. Although, there has been no statement from the government on this, but discussions are going on on this.

According to Shiv Gopal Mishra, Secretary (Staff Side) of National Council of JCM, a joint meeting of JCM with officials of Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) and Ministry of Finance, Department of Expenditure will be held soon.

It is expected that the hanging DA arrears of the employees will be discussed in this meeting. In the election period, the government can give some big update regarding DA arrears.

2 lakh rupees will come in the bank account

If the pending DA for 18 months is paid, then more than 2 lakh rupees can be received in the account of many government employees. The DA arrears of Level-1 employees will be between Rs 11,880 and Rs 37,000. At the same time, Level-13 employees will get Rs 1,44,200 to Rs 2,18,200 as DA arrears. DA is given to government employees, employees and pensioners. It is given to the employees to help them with their living expenses.
