New Delhi: Now you can take a home loan, no need to go to the bank. You can also get a cheap home loan from the nearest post office. India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) has partnered with LIC Housing Finance (LIC HFL) to facilitate LIC-HFL Home Loans to 4.5 crore IPPB customers.
Sources said IPPB has 650 branches and 136,000 banking outlets across the country. Through these, IPPB can provide loans up to Rs 50 lakh to salaried employees. The initial interest rate on the loan will be only 6.66 percent. The statement said that IPPB will provide affordable home loan facilities in areas where banking facilities are not available or are in short supply. This is not the first time that IPPB has worked with insurance companies.

The two companies have announced the partnership in a statement. The statement said that IPPB has a large network of 2 lakh postal workers. The network also works in rural areas. These employees will play a vital role in disbursement of home loans.
