Prime Minister Narendra Modi is going to launch the Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission (PM-DHM) scheme on 27 September. Earlier this scheme was running under the name of National Digital Health Mission (NDHM). PM-DHM provides universal health coverage in an efficient, inclusive, affordable and secure manner through a wide range of data, information and infrastructure services, officials said on Wednesday. Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya gave this information.

Efforts to solve people’s problems





According to the information, the unique ID that will be received will be generated with the help of Aadhaar card and mobile number of the people. The objective of the Prime Minister’s Digital Health Mission is to further improve India’s healthcare system. It is poised to be a one-stop solution for healthcare needs. This will make it easier to reach the institutions providing healthcare services.

Pilot project plan



Pradhan Mantri Digital Health Mission is a pilot project scheme of the Central Government. It is being run as a pilot project. Under this, data is being collected in the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands, Chandigarh, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu, Ladakh, Lakshadweep and Puducherry.
