0

Bank Holiday : If you’re thinking of going to the bank today to complete some important work, wait a moment. Today, Saturday, October 25th, is the fourth Saturday of the month, and all banks across the country are closed. This means banks are closed today. Furthermore, the festival of Chhath Puja begins today, which will result in banks remaining closed in many states for the next few days.

Banks will remain closed for four consecutive days

Banks will be closed on Saturday, October 25th, and Sunday, October 26th, for the weekend. Following this, banks will be closed on Monday and Tuesday, October 27th and 28th, for Chhath Puja in many states, particularly Bihar, Jharkhand, and eastern Uttar Pradesh. Thus, banks in many states will be closed for four consecutive days, from October 25th to 28th.

However, it’s important to note that not all states will observe a holiday. Banks will be closed on Monday and Tuesday in areas where the Chhath festival is celebrated with great devotion. In other states, banks will remain open as usual starting Monday.

Chhath Puja

Chhath Puja is an important festival dedicated to the worship of the Sun God, celebrated six days after Diwali. This four-day festival lasts for four days, and devotees follow strict rules. Devotees observe a fast without consuming water and offer prayers to the setting and rising sun, praying for the happiness, prosperity, and health of their families.
