Bank Holiday: Tomorrow i.e. on Friday, banks will remain closed in some parts of the country. According to the RBI’s list of holidays, both public and private sector banks will remain closed on this day due to Eid-e-Milad un-Nabi and Thiruvonam (Onam) festivals.
If you are planning to go to the bank, then first check whether there is a holiday in your state or not. In other states, banks will remain open like normal days.

Banks are going to remain closed on Friday, September 5. Eid-e-Milad un-Nabi, also known as Milad-e-Sharif or Bara Wafat, is a very special day for the Muslim community. It is celebrated in memory of the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Mohammad Sahib. On this day, mosques and houses are decorated, Quran Sharif is recited and people help the needy. At the same time, Thiruvonam i.e. Onam festival is the biggest festival of Kerala.
