Banks will remain closed on July 5 in Jammu and Srinagar on the occasion of Guru Hargobind Ji’s birth anniversary. Guru Hargobind Ji was the sixth Guru of Sikhism and this occasion is celebrated with great reverence there. Although this holiday is limited to Jammu and Kashmir only, banks will open at normal time in the rest of the states.

Weekend break on 12th and 13th July

Next week, July 12 is the second Saturday and July 13 is Sunday. According to RBI rules, banks are closed on the second and fourth Saturdays of every month. That is, banking services will remain closed offline across the country on these two days.

During the holidays, not only physical branches will remain closed, but online banking will remain operational. You will be able to transact money through digital services like UPI, net banking, mobile banking, IMPS and RTGS. Customers can do everything online, from money transfer to loan application and check book request.
