New Delhi [Jagran Special]. A lot of good is also happening in the Corona era. Such is the case with delivery (delivery). The number of cesarean deliveries in private and government hospitals in many states has decreased significantly during the lockdown. Previously, almost every other pregnant woman had a cesarean delivery. Due to Corona’s awe and strict protocol, gynecologists have reduced cesarean delivery significantly. This has brought great relief to the maternity and their relatives. Both time and money are saved. The number of deliveries in lockdown shows that the number of normal and conventional deliveries has increased.

Jharkhand drastically reduced

Last year, there were four thousand cesarean deliveries per month in Jharkhand. At the same time, Caesarean cases reduced significantly during lockdown. Caesarean deliveries were only 2656 in April and 2983 in May. That is, 33 percent less operations were done in April and 25 percent less in May. Talking about normal deliveries, there were 36,628 deliveries in April and 46,029 deliveries in May. Private hospitals were closed in lockdown. Most deliveries took place in government hospitals where there is no game to make money by operating.

Most districts of UP changed the scenario

In Uttar Pradesh, the whole scenario was changed. The number of normal (normal) deliveries in lockdown in Gorakhpur district has increased. 60 percent of the normal, and 40 percent of the Caesarean. Among the pregnant women arrived at the District Women’s Hospital, 60 percent delivery was normal. Gazipur, Mau, Ballia, Azamgarh, Jaunpur, Bhadohi, Sonbhadra, Mirjapur and Chandauli of Varanasi including Purvanchal had higher numbers of normal deliveries than Cesareans during the corona transition. Normal deliveries in some districts lasted eighty percent.

Most districts of UP changed the scenario

3309 normal deliveries and 398 cesareans during the lockdown in Varanasi. 1126 Normal Delivery in Mirzapur, 374 Caesarean. 2421 normal deliveries, 827 operations in Azamgarh. 4687 normal deliveries in Sonebhadra, 2743 from operation. 2432 general delivery, 537 operations at Bhadohi. Jaunpur had 1166 normal deliveries, 411 operations while Ghazipur had 540 normal deliveries, 190 operations. Caesarean delivery has decreased in lockdown in Meerut.

The effect was seen in Noida as well

The impact was evident in the lockdown in Gautam Budh Nagar from 25 March to 31 May. Cesarean deliveries were much lower this year than last year. Whereas normal delivery cases increased. In 2019 (February to June 15) in government hospitals where there were 304 cesarean deliveries, this year there were only 237 cesarean deliveries in the lockdown period (February to June 15). While the number of normal deliveries is 1920. Almost the same situation also exists in other districts of the state.

Fear of corona virus

Dr. Vandana Sharma, CMS of Gautam Budh Nagar District Hospital, says that there is a fear of viruses among people. People do not come to the labor room but also to the OPD without any reason. There is more normal delivery than Caesarean during the lockdown period. Women are being made aware for normal delivery on behalf of the hospital.
