What does the current rule say
Currently, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has rules to keep passengers who misbehave in flights in the ‘no-fly’ list. The situation of misbehavior is divided into three levels, which are as follows:-
- Level 1 includes physical gestures and verbal harassment.
- Level 2 includes physically abusive behavior.
- Level 3 includes activities that endanger life.
What is the punishment
If any passenger traveling by flights is found misbehaving with the crew members, strict action is taken against him. If the passenger misbehaves in any way based on level 1 to level 3, he can be sentenced to jail from three months to a minimum of two years. Also, his name will be included in the no-fly list. Which means that the person will not be able to travel by flights in the country and the world for many years.
Now what will happen if the rule is extended?
Look, the no-fly list rule till now takes care of the safety of the crew members inside the flights, but now the purpose of the extension in the rule is to reduce the incidents happening in the airport premises. In fact, passengers who threaten or misbehave with ground staff at the boarding gate or check-in counter can now also be included in the no-fly list. Soon the government will give more information about the expansion of this rule.

If the no-fly rule is expanded and it will be implemented. In such a situation, passengers will have to pay special attention to their behavior not only in the flight but also at the airport, because disrespectful behavior towards the airport ground staff will not be tolerated at all and the name of such passengers will be included in the no-fly list.
