Bajaj Allianz Policyholders: The Association of Healthcare Providers of India (AHPI) has withdrawn the cashless claim suspension of Bajaj Allianz. Now Bajaj Allianz policyholders can get treatment without depositing money. Know how things worked out.

The Association of Healthcare Providers of India (AHPI) has announced the withdrawal of the ban imposed on Bajaj Allianz General Insurance’s cashless claim services from September 1, 2025. This decision has brought great relief to millions of Bajaj Allianz policyholders.

Decision taken after the meeting

A meeting of the core committee members of AHPI and senior representatives of Bajaj Allianz was held on 28 August 2025. All issues were agreed upon during the meeting and Bajaj Allianz promised to submit a formal action report to AHPI by 29 September.

AHPI Director General Dr. Girdhar Gyani said, “We want the insurance company and hospitals to work together to reduce the problems for patients. Old rates should be updated, there should be an easy way to complain and doctors can treat patients in their own way.”

Cashless services resumed

After all the discussions, Bajaj Allianz has resumed cashless services in its network hospitals. Now policyholders can avail the facility without depositing money for their treatment.

Position on Care Health Insurance

Dr Gyani said that Care Health Insurance ‘s services are already running and were never suspended. AHPI had only asked for clarification, which Care has given and the review is still on.

Past controversies and response

On August 22, AHPI had advised its member hospitals in North India to suspend cashless services for Bajaj Allianz and Care Health policyholders from September 1. The reasons behind this were old payments, claim denials, long processes and other issues. On this, the General Insurance Council termed AHPI’s decision as vague and actionless.

Both Bajaj Allianz and Care Health clarified that the convenience of their customers will not be affected. Even if a claim is interrupted, the money will be transferred to the customer’s account on time.
