According to the report, Bhutan has taken a big step to stop Indian farmers in Assam from using the water of their rivers.

new Delhi. China (China) has increased its activities in the last few months to acquire the land of India (India). At the same time, Nepal has recently released its new map and has declared three areas of India as its share. After these two countries, now another neighboring country is making trouble for India. This country is Bhutan. Bhutan has now stopped the irrigation water of its rivers coming towards Assam of India. Farmers of Baksa district of Assam are upset by this move. Now due to the problem faced by them in farming, they protested strongly and demonstrated. BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has expressed concern over this.



According to the report, Bhutan has taken a big step to stop Indian farmers in Assam from using the water of their rivers. Since 1953, farmers of Assam’s Baksa and other districts have been cultivating paddy using irrigation water coming from Bhutan. Now this step of Bhutan has created problems for people of about 25 villages of Assam. The anger erupted against Bhutan among these farmers and they demonstrated on Thursday.

Civil society people, along with farmers in Assam’s Baksa district, also demonstrated against Bhutan’s move. The protesters also blocked the road of Rongia and Bhutan for several hours. All these people demanded from the Central Government that the government should negotiate with Bhutan on this issue and find a solution for the people.

The entry of foreign nationals into Bhutan has been forbidden due to the Corona virus. In such a situation, they go to Samundrup Jongkhar area on the Indo-Bhutan border and bring the water of Kala river to the fields for irrigation. But farmers have also been denied permission. In protest, the farmers said that if all international protocols are followed then water can be poured into the canal for irrigation.

BJP leader Subramanian Swamy has expressed concern over this. He tweeted and said, ‘Now Bhutan has stopped the irrigation water for Indian farmers.
