How to check

  • Visit the official website of Aadhaar www.uidai.gov.in.
  • Select the Verify Email/Mobile Number option in the My Aadhar tab.
  • Here a new page will open in front of you.
  • Here you have to enter Aadhaar number, mobile number and e-mail.
  • Enter the captcha code and click on send OTP.
  • If you have entered the mobile number then OTP will come on it.
  • If you have entered the email ID, then OTP will come on the mail.
  • Now enter the OTP in the space provided.
  • If the mobile number or email ID matches with the UIDAI records, a message will appear on the screen that the mobile number and email ID given by you are matching with the records.

On the other hand, if any other mobile number or email is registered, then the mobile number or email entered in the verification process will not match. With this you will know that you have given any other mobile number or email while making Aadhaar number.

UIDAI has asked Aadhar card holders to be alert to avoid online frauds. The authority has said that the incidents of fraud from the internet are increasing continuously. Therefore, Aadhar card holders should not share information about their Aadhar card on any unknown phone.
