Aadhaar: Aadhar Card has become an essential document for many facilities nowadays. To get the facility of many government schemes in the country and to file income tax return, you must have Aadhaar. Also it should be linked to your mobile number.

Due to this, whenever you want to do any work with the help of your Aadhaar number, then an OTP comes for its verification. This OTP comes on your registered mobile number or email id. If your mobile number has changed, then the OTP to validate your Aadhaar will come on your old number.

It will be difficult

In such a situation, if you want to complete any process with OTP verification, then it will not be possible. If you want to use mAadhaar app, then it is mandatory to link your mobile number with Aadhaar for that too.

How to update new number in Aadhaar

  • Visit Aadhaar Registration Center
  • Take an Aadhaar correction form to link phone number
  • Fill the correct information in the form
  • Submit the form to the officer along with the fee of Rs.25
  • After submitting the form, you will be given a receipt containing the update request number
  • With the request number, you can check whether the new phone number is linked with your Aadhaar or not
  • Your Aadhaar will be linked with the new mobile number in three months
  • When your Aadhaar is linked with the new mobile number, then OTP will be received on your same number.
  • Using that OTP you can download your Aadhar card online
  • You can also know the status of linking new mobile number with Aadhaar by calling UIDAI’s toll free number 1947.
