Old Aadhaar card will not work?
According to UIDAI, the last date to update Aadhaar card for free is June 14. However, after this your old Aadhaar card will not be useless. After June 14, you will not be able to update Aadhaar card for free. You will have to pay a charge for the update. The Aadhaar card holder will have to get updated online or by visiting the nearest Aadhaar center. Only if UIDAI extends the date of free updation, you will be able to get free update in Aadhaar. Otherwise charge will have to be paid.

The old Aadhaar card will not be useless and Aadhaar card holders will be able to use it as identification. If your Aadhaar is ten years old then get it updated first. To update Aadhaar, Voter ID, passport, driving license etc. will be required.
