UP Primary Schools: It has been made mandatory to update the Aadhaar card biometrics of all the students of primary and upper primary schools of Uttar Pradesh. In this regard, the central government has sent instructions to the Director General of School Education of UP, which states that biometric update of every student is necessary. This update will have to be done by schools of all types of management.
According to the information received, the Central Government has given instructions to update the biometrics of all the children. The Unique Identification Authority of India of the Central Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology has sent a letter to the Director General of School Education stating that the facility of biometric update has been made available on the UDISE Plus portal. Make parents aware in parent-teacher meetings to update the biometrics of all children.

After that, find out the number of students whose biometric update is necessary. After that, biometric update should be done by organizing Aadhar camps. It should be known that biometric Aadhar card is not made before the age of five years. It is made only on the basis of facial photo. Most of the parents submit this Aadhar card at the time of admission in schools. After admission, they do not even get it updated.
Strict monitoring of admission of poor children in private schools
The government has amended the system of getting poor children admitted in private schools and has now implemented it with more stringent rules and strict monitoring. The application process will be completely online and Aadhaar card of parents and child will be mandatory for this. For the first time, an implementation and monitoring committee has been formed at the district level, which will be headed by the DM. More than a dozen district level officers will be members of this committee, who will monitor the entire process.
The benefit of this system will be available to the children of Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, socially and educationally backward classes, orphans, destitute, children of parents suffering from HIV/AIDS and cancer and children of Divyaangjan families. Also, children of families whose annual income is up to ₹ one lakh will also be included in it. Director General Kanchan Verma says that after admission, the school will have to create Apaar ID by registering its information on the online portal and U-Dias portal.
