Will the Eighth Pay Commission come for central employees or not? There are different views on this and there was constant discussion that the government should announce about it. But, the Modi government has removed all the confusion on this. Actually, the new update of the government is coming out for the employees after the eighth pay commission. Under which it is being said that the salary of the employees can be increased by 3 times.

8th Pay Commission will come!

Pankaj Chowdhary was replying to a question whether it is true that the government is not considering setting up the 8th Pay Commission to revise the salaries, allowances and pensions of central government employees and pensioners. Chaudhary made it clear that at present no such case is under consideration.

He said- According to the recommendation of the Seventh Pay Commission, there should be no need to set up another Pay Commission to review the salaries, allowances and pensions given to Central Government employees and pensioners. But, there is no such idea right now.

Review should be done on new pay-metrics-

Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary said that work should be done on a new system for review and revision of pay matrix. He did not deny that the 8th Pay Commission would not come. But, the government is working on such a system so that the salary of the employees increases on the basis of their performance (Performance linked increment). He said that all allowances and salaries can be reviewed on the basis of Aykroyd formula.

With this, keeping in mind the prices of the things needed by the employees, they can make changes. It is reviewed by the Labor Bureau from time to time. It has definitely been suggested that changes should be made in this matrix from time to time and for this the next pay commission would not be required.

According to the information received, the government is working in this direction to make such a system for 68 lakh central employees and 52 lakh pensioners, in which there is automatic revision in salary if DA is more than 50 percent. For this, an ‘automatic pay revision system’ can be made.

Which employees will get the benefit?

According to a Finance Ministry official, Arun Jaitley wanted that there should be an increase in the salary of middle level employees as well as low level employees. According to the official, given the long-standing trend of income polarization after the new formula and the shrinking middle tier in central government departments, it appears that broad mid-level employees There will not be much increase in the level of But, low level employees can see the benefit in this.

How much benefit will you get?

The minimum salary of a central employee with pay level matrix 1 to 5 can be between 21 thousand. If we see the trend of Pay Commission, it is implemented every 8-10 years.

But, a decision on this can be taken after the year 2024, in which a new formula can be considered. According to the government employees, the salary should be about three times. The increase in the 7th Pay Commission was the least.
