7th Pay Commission: More than 50 lakh government employees and more than 65 lakh pensioners of the center are going to get great news before Holi. If everything goes well, before Holi, the central government can give many good news to the central employees at once.

In fact, before Holi, a meeting of the Union Cabinet is going to be held on March 16. In this meeting, where the central government can announce an increase in the DA of central employees, it can take a big decision regarding the arrears of DA for 18 months. Along with this, a big announcement can also be made on the minimum salary and fitment factor.

If the government gives a decision on the stuck DA in the next cabinet meeting, then an amount of up to Rs 2 lakh can come in the account of the employees simultaneously. Shiv Gopal Mishra, secretary (staff side) of the National Council of Joint Consultative Machinery (JCM), says that the central government can do one-time settlement of the stuck DA money.

With this, central employees can get between Rs 1 lakh 44 thousand 200 to Rs 2 lakh 18 thousand 200 as DA arrears . The amount of arrears will be different for different grades of employees. The DA arrears of Level-1 employees will be between Rs 11880 to Rs 37000. The DA arrears of Level-13 employees will be between Rs 144200 to Rs 218200.

With this, the dearness allowance (DA) of employees can be increased by 3 percent. After this, dearness allowance and dearness relief to central employees and pensioners will increase from 31 percent to 34 percent. Due to the code of conduct of the election, the government has not yet announced to increase the DA. The results of the elections are to come on March 10, after which the government can take a decision on it. Dearness allowance is paid on the basic salary. A hike of 3 per cent can increase the salary of government employees up to a maximum of Rs 20,000 and a minimum of Rs 6480.

If we look at the calculation of minimum basic salary when dearness allowance is 34 percent, then the minimum basic salary of a central employee is Rs 18,000. After the DA is 34 per cent, it will increase to Rs 6,120 per month. That is, it will increase by Rs 540 per month. If we look at the salary on an annual basis, then there will be an increase of Rs 6,480 in it. At the same time, there will be an increase in the maximum basic salary by Rs 1707. Accordingly, the salary of these employees will increase by Rs 20,484 on an annual basis.
