7th Pay Commi ssion Latest News in Hindi: Before the festivals and assembly elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in Uttar Pradesh has given a gift to the pensioners. The State Government has ordered four installments of Dearness Relief (DR) i.e. Dearness Relief to the pensioners receiving pension / family pension under the recommendations of the UP Pay Committee 2008. Approval has been given for grant of DR with effect from July 1, 2018.

Additional Chief Secretary Finance S Radha Chauhan released the Hindi newspaper ‘Hindustan’ (Daily) to the government on Thursday (September 30, 2021) in this regard. The number of such pensioners is estimated to be around 6000, while all will be given arrears of DR from the date of declaration of DR. According to the information, from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, the rate of dearness relief will remain 164 percent.

According to the report of the newspaper, dearness relief will be given at the rate of 148 percent from July 1, 2018, 154 percent from January 1, 2019, 164 percent from July 1, 2019 and 189 percent from July 1, 2021. At the same time, from January 1, 2020 to June 30, 2021, the rate of DR will remain the same at 164 percent.

This order of the Yogi government will also be applicable to such pensioners of educational institutions receiving aid from the state fund under the Department of Education, Technical Education, who are admissible pension and family pension at par with government pensioners. However, this order will not apply to judges of the High Court, servants of local bodies and public undertakings.

Let us tell that in October there are Navratri/Durga Puja, Dussehra, Karva Chauth and then in November there are Dhanteras, Diwali, Govardhan Puja, Bhai Dooj and Chhath Puja etc. In such a situation, the order related to the release of four installments for pensioners before these festivals is considered good news.

However, if political experts are to be believed, before the elections, the state government is also trying to cultivate the vote bank of the pensioners through this decision. Elections to the 18th assembly in UP are to be held in the year 2022, while the term of the current assembly, elected in 2017, will end on May 14, 2022.
