7th Pay Commissio n 7th CPC Latest News, State Government Employees: The Central Government has increased the Dearness Allowance (DA) of the employees in the past. On the lines of this decision of the Center, some state governments have also given DA increase to the employees. First of all, if we talk about Uttarakhand, then the state government has taken an important decision on DA.
An increase of 28 percent has been announced in the dearness allowance for the employees of Uttarakhand with effect from September. The state government has removed the ban on DA. On the other hand, the Jharkhand government has approved the proposal of increasing the House Rent Allowance (HRA) of government employees to the Finance Department as per the recommendations of the Seventh Pay Commission. The new HRA will be implemented with retrospective effect from July 1, 2021.
Earlier, the Jharkhand government had also increased the DA rate for pensioners and government employees from 17 percent to 28 percent. The UP and Haryana governments have also increased the DA of their employees to 28. The cabinet has also given approval to implement this decision.
Rajasthan was the first state which took the decision to increase the DA of the employees on the lines of the Center after the decision of the Center to increase the DA. The state government had announced that 28 per cent DA would be given to the employee and pensioner. The state government has also approved an increase in HRA up to 2 per cent.
DA and DR benefits for government employees in J&K have been revised, with effect from 1 July 2021.
