Now the Labor Ministry has also released the Dearness Allowance figures for June 2021. In this, dearness allowance of employees has gone up by more than 28 percent.

According to the Labor Ministry, the All India Consumer Price Index for Industrial Workers (AI CPI-IW) has increased by 1.1 points in June 2021. With this it has increased to 121.7. With this, his DA will now increase from 28 percent to 31 percent. Its direct benefit will be around Diwali to the employees. The government can announce this in September-October.

Meaning of increasing dearness allowance by 3 percent

HS Tiwari, Assistant Secretary General, All India Audit and Accounts Association, told Jagran that if the basic salary of an employee is Rs 30,000 per month, then his salary will increase by Rs 900 per month. If seen in 1 year, then this increase will be Rs 10800 per month. At the same time, the salary of a cabinet secretary level officer will increase by Rs 7500 per month, whose basic maximum is Rs 2.5 lakh per month. If we look at the annual basis, then this increase will be up to 90 thousand rupees per month.

What is dearness allowance

The central government gives dearness allowance to its employees on the basis of the calculation of inflation. Also, it revises every six months. Its calculation is based on basic pay.
