January 2022 is coming. With the beginning of the new year, the smell of increase in Dearness Allowance has also started. However, till now the data related to Dearness Allowance from July to October 2021 has come. In this, an increase of 1.6 percent has been registered as compared to September 2020. With this, the All-India CPI-IW has increased to 124.9 percent in October.

Two percent DA set to increase

Expert Harishankar Tiwari, who calculates Dearness Allowance, told Jagran.com that this can be said by looking at the current data of All-India CPI-IW. Two percent increase in DA is sure. However, if this figure increases in November, then 3 percent DA hike is also possible by December. But if the All-India CPI-IW declines in November, then the rate of dearness allowance may be less than 3 percent, said Harishankar Tiwari, former president of AG Office Brotherhood.

  • 31 percent DA will be added in this – Rs 5580
  • 27% HRA – Rs 5400
  • Traveling Allowance (TA): Rs 1350
  • DA on TA: Rs 419
  • Gross salary will be Rs 30,749 in 1 month

What will be the effect of increasing DA by 2 percent?

According to Harishankar Tiwari, on increasing DA by 2 percent, the salary of a Level 1 central employee will increase by Rs 360 per month as dearness allowance. Also TA will also increase. On the other hand, on increasing DA by 3 percent, this increase will be Rs 540 per month. According to him, this figure will be clear only when the data for the month of November comes.
