Under this, the employees of Indian Railways will be promoted first. Orders have also been issued for this. According to this released notification, the officers of Indian Railways who will be promoted will be subject to the recommendations of the 7th Pay Commission. The officers will now be included in the entry-pay of Rs.29500 from Rs.25,350.
Promotion to the post of Deputy Secretary / Principal Private Secretary
According to the government order, the promotion of the officers of Railway Board Secretariat Service (RBSS) / Railway Board Secretariat Stenographers Service (RBSSS) is due this year. Now he is under Secretary/Pr. Promoted by Private Secretary Dy. Secretary/Sr. Principal Private Secretary is being made. Let us tell you that due to promotion, there will be a big increase in the salary of the officers.
Salary will increase up to 15 thousand rupees
After the promotion, the salary of the officers will increase by about Rs 15,000 on a monthly basis. Annually it will increase by about 1 lakh 80 thousand rupees. Looking at the pay-matrix, the entry basic salary of officers of this level is between Rs 67,700-78,800 per month.
Due to promotion and increase in basic salary, there will be an increase in Dearness Allowance, Transport Allowance, House Rent Allowance and other necessary allowances.
Pay Band III employees will be promoted
It is worth noting that under 7th Pay Matrix, Pay Band III is applicable at this level. Ministry of Railways has issued notification regarding promotion. The President’s approval has been taken on the promotion. Now officers of different levels of this department of the center will get increments. After this, the second increment will be done from Level 11’s 69,700 basic pay to Rs 81,200 basic.
Pay-matrix will also increase
Let us tell you, under the 7th Pay Commission, two increments are given every year in different departments. If promotion is due then both the increments are issued simultaneously. Salary is increased according to Pay Matrix. Pay Matrix was introduced after the implementation of 7th Pay Commission. The fitment factor also plays a big role in this. At present the fitment factor is 2.57.
