7th Pay Commission DA Hike: An important cabinet meeting will be held today under the leadership of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. Government employees are hopeful that the dearness allowance for the second half will be announced.
It is expected that this time the government may give a gift to the employees by increasing the dearness allowance by about 3 percent.
What will be the percentage increase in dearness allowance?
Earlier in April this year, the Uttar Pradesh government had increased the dearness allowance of the fifth pay scale employees by 11% to 466%. The dearness allowance of the sixth pay scale employees was increased by 6%, making it 252%. With this announcement, it was told that the cash payment of the increased rate will be made from April 1, 2025.
In this way, the State employees, regular and full-time employees of aided educational and technical educational institutions, urban local bodies, employees on work charge and the holders of posts working in the UGC pay scale who are working in the fifth and sixth pay structure are getting the benefit of dearness allowance at increased rates.
Other agendas of the cabinet meeting
In the meeting of Yogi Cabinet, the new export policy of Uttar Pradesh will be approved. Apart from this, the proposal to register the ancestral property at a fee of five thousand rupees will be approved. Along with this, the report of the judicial commission of the Sambhal case will also be placed before the cabinet. At the same time, the formation of Uttar Pradesh Outsource Service Corporation will also be approved to protect the interests of outsourcing employees and save them from exploitation.
The new export policy will be for five years till the year 2030. In view of the tariff war, there will be a provision of special concessions for the exporters and businessmen of UP. Apart from this, the proposal of the Urban Development Department will be approved in the Yogi Cabinet meeting.
Under this, 100 e-buses will be purchased for Kanpur and Lucknow. Under the Uttar Pradesh Industrial Investment and Employment Promotion Policy-2022, proposals related to issuing Letter of Comfort to various companies will be approved. A formal proposal to declare the Stamp Department as a government department will be passed by the Cabinet.
